ORIENTED STRAND BOARD (OSB)

Oriented strand board (OSB) can be considered an eco-friendly building material for several reasons:

Sustainable sourcing: OSB is made from fast-growing trees, which can be sustainably farmed.

Whole tree use: OSB uses the whole tree, including the tops that other wood products don't use. OSB manufacturers can use up to 90% of a tree, compared to about 25% for timber framing.

Durability: OSB is durable and needs to be replaced less often, which reduces the environmental impact.

Cost-effective: OSB is more cost-effective than traditional wood paneling.

Easy to work with: OSB is easy to work with, making it a good choice for DIY projects.
